Protect-a-tow rock guard
The rock deflector is designed to prevent rocks from hitting either the towed vehicle or the back of your motorhome, unlike those plastic ones that you mount to the front of towed vehicles (those deflect rocks into the back of your motorhome.) It's simple to use and hooks and unhooks in minutes.
Available in two lengths, the standard 60-71 inches and an extra long 72-83 inches since the material will stretch. Length is the distance between the rear bumper of the motor home and the front bumper of your towed vehicle. Both products are the same width which is about 7 foot 6 inches on the motor home side and about 4 foot 6 inches on the towed vehicle side. The standard size fits all of the tow bars we manufacture, but if you use a drop hitch, extension, or add a Ready Brake to a tow bar that doesn't have it integrated into it, you will need the extra long size due to the extra length.
If you have a diesel motor home with an exhaust pipe that points down at the rear bumper where this is installed at, don't use this product. The heat from that exhaust pipe can melt the fabric and might start a fire.
We aim to ship your order as quickly as possible, during the busiest times of the season, tow bar manufacturing lead times can be 3 weeks. If an item is not going to ship quickly, we will be in contact via phone or email. Please reach out if you have any questions on lead times.

One of the best tow bars on the market.

All I can add is same experience as all the others have said. It’s a great simple system that works great.

Product quality is excellent, and apparent immediately upon opening the box. Also, I chose to work directly with the company, and they were great. I had a unique situation where I couldn't use the company mount on my Jeep (due to having a plow mount already), so I provided dimensions for my Jeep's D-rings (see attached picture) and the company made a custom fit mount. If I recall correctly, I don't think there was even an extra cost for customizing the mount. I didn't really have any problems, but I know the company would have been super supportive if I had needed anything. The connection system is very well designed, and easy to align. My sixteen year old son typically does the connection both ways 100% himself. After it is connected, there is a connection for the lighting, one to activate the brakes, and one as a safety that will lock the tow vehicle's brake if it someone got loose. Last year was the first towing our Jeep Unlimited. We towed from CT to the rockies, spent two months cruising around the Rocky Mountains, and then towed back from UT to CT again. We've been doing these trips for five years now, but this is the first time we towed a vehicle -- it was a massive improvement for the trip. I definitely recommend based on quality, connection design, and company support.

The Hercules tow bar system work great couldn’t be happier. It’s easy to use and the surge brake works really well. I installed it myself with no problems.

This is by far the best tow bar on the market, bar none. Direct connection to the brake pedal provides the best braking of the tow bars. No crap in the floor or electrical components to worry about. I have comfort in knowing that the vehicle that I am towing is actually braking...where do I buy shares in this invention!!!

I've had my ReadyBrute since 2007 and towed my Jeep Cherokee about 50K miles with it. I really like it. I live in Colorado and constantly traverse steep grades. It has always worked flawlessly. It brakes just the right amount...never to much and never too little. I've actually towed the Jeep more miles than I have driven it over that time!
