Important:
Keep in mind when you buy a Roadmaster baseplate, it does not come with their adaptor bar #067. That item only comes with their tow bars. So when you buy one of their baseplates from us, or any other dealer, they are a separate item. The baseplate # MX , MS, and EZ-5 are the only baseplates that do not need an adaptor bar - all others do. it needs to say (Keep in mind when you buy a Roadmaster baseplate, it does not come with their adaptor bar #067. Just as advertised.. Love it!. This is a mechanical braking system. No big "Box" on the floor of the drivers side seat. Comes complete with everything you need on the receiver side.

Lightest, simplest, tow/brake system I could find. Beats the snot out of the "bowling-ball bag" types that you have to lug into and out of the driver's compartment.

This thing is great. I researched tow bars and supplemental brake systems before deciding on this due to the mechanical brake, ease of setup and cost. Immediately upon install we towed a Jeep Patriot from Colorado to Alaska and back with a Class C and system worked great. Couldn't be happier.

Purchased my 1st Ready Brute from NSA in 2006. We pulled a Saturn Vue and later a Ford Edge. I just replaced with a new "Elite" a couple months ago. There was nothing wrong with the old equipment, it performed flawlessly from day 1. I find the brake system to be less invasive than some of the other forms of aux brake. Also very easy to set up a new vehicle to tow. Yes I would recommend.
