This is the Ready Brute 2 package and does not come with a brake. Our Ready Brute Elite II is the right choice for most applications. The Read Brute should only be chosen if you already have another brake or plan to use a brake other than our Ready Brake. You'll need a braking system to tow safely and legally.
This Ready Brute Elite II complete RV tow package includes everything you need to tow behind your RV for $500 to $1500 less than the competition. We bundle all the vehicle-specific parts you'll need (Baseplate, light wiring) with our best-in-class aluminum tow bar. IT IS RARE, BUT IF A DIRECT CONNECT STYLE BASEPLATE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR VEHICLE YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A ROADMASTER CROSSBAR ASSEMBLY WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE PACKAGE.
IN SOME CASES WE CAN HOOK OUR TOW BAR TO TOW-GRADE AFTERMARKET BUMPERS BUT THEY WILL NEED A SPECIAL CLEVIS AND YOU'LL NEED TO CALL US SO WE CAN GET MEASUREMENTS AND GET YOU A QUOTE.

Very easy to use and hooks up better than most. It is worth every cent. It is the best tow bar for the money since for only a couple hundred more than the Blue Ox. ... Most tow bars require a separate braking system to the tune of $1K+ but this one has a cable based system that works just fine and meets the standards of the states that require a braking system. This tow bar is heavy duty, precision machined and well made! The integrated surge brake system enables the towed-vehicle (the "toad") brakes to be activated via a mechanical cable within a cable sleeve easily routed and installed through the toad's firewall and attached to the brake pedal. This provides simple, robust, secure, and proportional braking for the towed vehicle.

This thing is great. I researched tow bars and supplemental brake systems before deciding on this due to the mechanical brake, ease of setup and cost. Immediately upon install we towed a Jeep Patriot from Colorado to Alaska and back with a Class C and system worked great. Couldn't be happier.

Recently bought a Ready Brute elite towbar with safety cables, break away kit and accessories. Great people, great products! Very helpful staff, and very nice manufactured towbar. I installed the brake cable and other accessories on a jeep jk 2015 Wrangler, hooked it up to the Ready Brute Elite and it works like a charm! Not sure why anyone would want to mess with any other braking system, this thing is awesome! Thanks for a great product!

I had mine coming on ten years and as you described simple, effective, & safe yet cost effective. No external power, vacuum or air pressure required for normal operation. Just connect the cable from the bar to the toad and your brake ready to head out. And don't for get to buy a break away kit.

Best tow bar I have ever used. It was easy to install, and the hook up is so easy. I can't say enough good things about this. Buy it if you're looking for a simple tow bar.
