Product quality is excellent, and apparent immediately upon opening the box. Also, I chose to work directly with the company, and they were great. I had a unique situation where I couldn't use the company mount on my Jeep (due to having a plow mount already), so I provided dimensions for my Jeep's D-rings (see attached picture) and the company made a custom fit mount. If I recall correctly, I don't think there was even an extra cost for customizing the mount. I didn't really have any problems, but I know the company would have been super supportive if I had needed anything. The connection system is very well designed, and easy to align. My sixteen year old son typically does the connection both ways 100% himself. After it is connected, there is a connection for the lighting, one to activate the brakes, and one as a safety that will lock the tow vehicle's brake if it someone got loose. Last year was the first towing our Jeep Unlimited. We towed from CT to the rockies, spent two months cruising around the Rocky Mountains, and then towed back from UT to CT again. We've been doing these trips for five years now, but this is the first time we towed a vehicle -- it was a massive improvement for the trip. I definitely recommend based on quality, connection design, and company support.

We thought we were having some problems with our brute elite and on our way home from Texas to Minnesota decided to make a stop there to have them check it out. We were blown away by how responsive they were and went through our tow bar within an hour. Then they talked to us about what problems we thought we had. What a great team!! This thing is great. I researched tow bars and supplemental brake systems before deciding on this due to the mechanical brake, ease of setup and cost. Immediately upon install we towed a Jeep Patriot from Colorado to Alaska and back with a Class C and system worked great. Couldn't be happier.

Purchased my 1st Ready Brute from NSA in 2006. We pulled a Saturn Vue and later a Ford Edge. I just replaced with a new "Elite" a couple months ago. There was nothing wrong with the old equipment, it performed flawlessly from day 1. I find the brake system to be less invasive than some of the other forms of aux brake. Also very easy to set up a new vehicle to tow. Yes I would recommend.

This towbar is awesome. It was easy to set up. I used it to tow my 94 Jeep Wrangler over 3,000 miles behind a class A RV. It was completely problem free and easy to use the whole way. I love the simple brake cable that relies on simple physics to make the tow vehicle brakes engage when the RV brakes engage. It worked great through steep mountain passes!

I had mine coming on ten years and as you described simple, effective, & safe yet cost effective. No external power, vacuum or air pressure required for normal operation. Just connect the cable from the bar to the toad and your brake ready to head out. And don't for get to buy a break away kit.

Very easy to use and hooks up better than most. It is worth every cent. It is the best tow bar for the money since for only a couple hundred more than the Blue Ox. ... Most tow bars require a separate braking system to the tune of $1K+ but this one has a cable based system that works just fine and meets the standards of the states that require a braking system. This tow bar is heavy duty, precision machined and well made! The integrated surge brake system enables the towed-vehicle (the "toad") brakes to be activated via a mechanical cable within a cable sleeve easily routed and installed through the toad's firewall and attached to the brake pedal. This provides simple, robust, secure, and proportional braking for the towed vehicle.

Purchased this from a recommendation on YouTube. Did my research of every system out there and settled on NSA RV as they are American made and a local builder. The people on the phone were fantastic and super helpful Make sure you ask if there are any additional parts needed for your set up. I had this installed on a 2025 Ram 1500 and pulled behind a Newmar Dutchstar. My last trip I was halfway home when I found out my battery was dead and my breaks were completely fried. The cause of this was, that when the system was installed by LEONARD TRUCK OUTFITTERS, they did not completely follow the instructions properly. After speaking with the owner ofLEONARD TRUCK OUTFITTERS, he said it was not his fault and would not accept any responsibility. I spoke with Todd - Owner of NSA RV, and he agreed that it is a 100% install issue. With that, Todd helped me with half of my brake bill. He is truly a stand up guy. He also spoke to the installer to let him know the problem is on there side and should also take care of there side. LEONARD TRUCK OUTFITTERS said it is not at all their problem. DO NOT USE LEONARD TRUCK OUTFITTERS FOR ANYTHING. Make sure you purchase from NSA RV as they stand behind there products better than any other company I have dealt with. I would fully endorse Todd and his company and, if I ever need to purchase this again, I will not go any where else for any amount of money.

This is by far the best tow bar on the market, bar none. Direct connection to the brake pedal provides the best braking of the tow bars. No crap in the floor or electrical components to worry about. I have comfort in knowing that the vehicle that I am towing is actually braking...where do I buy shares in this invention!!!

I pull my 2010 Jeep Wrangler with my 31 foot Class C RV. Worked perfectly as advertised, the Ready Brake is impressive on how well it works. Interstate, rolling hills, and some pretty crappy roads along the way and this system is awesome!! A pure and simple mechanical system that you set up and adjust once and you're done! Hookup takes minutes! Unhooking takes even less. And a hell of a lot cheaper than the box brakes by Roadmaster and the like!

We purchased an NSA Brute Ready Brake Tow Bar System in late 2018 to flat tow our 1999 Jeep TJ, The kit came with everything we needed to connect and flat tow our Jeep. It features emergency break-a-way stoping system, braking, quick connect lights, safety cables. The kit was very easy to install. We're based in Florida we've used this system to tow safely all over the United States, over twenty-five thousand miles with no issues. Because we're planning a few long trips we decided to have the Tow Bar check out just to be on the safe side. I boxed it up and shipped it back to NSA for inspection. They inspected it and repaired as needed and shipped it back for free. Very good service, plus NSA is a USA company with products made in the USA. Fantastic to deal with, I bought a tow bar kit. Everything I needed came as a package for self install. Just went on my first ever trip towing a vehicle behind our motorhome and it went flawlessly.

I've had my ReadyBrute since 2007 and towed my Jeep Cherokee about 50K miles with it. I really like it. I live in Colorado and constantly traverse steep grades. It has always worked flawlessly. It brakes just the right amount...never to much and never too little. I've actually towed the Jeep more miles than I have driven it over that time!

I purchase a NSA Brute 12 years ago and are about to move it to our 3rd coach. It has given us perfect service. We had a small problem with a piece and I contacted NSA and they sent out a new part no questions. In getting ready to move to the next coach this fall I notice the side and shock was not working I contacted NSA told them of my problem and offered to buy the parts. They ask me to ship the unit to them and they rebuilt and updated my unit at no cost. When they say Life Time Guarantee they mean it. This is an ingenious design...excellent product for those wanting a dead simple braking system and tow bar in one. I cannot say enough good things about this robust and marvelous tow bar, and while I was using it, it performed very well.

Recently bought a Ready Brute elite towbar with safety cables, break away kit and accessories. Great people, great products! Very helpful staff, and very nice manufactured towbar. I installed the brake cable and other accessories on a jeep jk 2015 Wrangler, hooked it up to the Ready Brute Elite and it works like a charm! Not sure why anyone would want to mess with any other braking system, this thing is awesome! Thanks for a great product!
